Prince of Wales Race Meeting Johannesburg 1925 Programme (HRH personal copy)

HRH The Prince of Wales' personal copy of the programme for the Prince of Wales Meeting at the Johannesburg Turf Club which he attended in person on Wednesday, 24th June , 1925, as part of his tour of Africa. All original. The programme is housed within a kid leather folder with the Prince of Wales Crest in gilt on the front. Interior has textured pattern in blue and gold, 12.8 cms x 18.8 cms x 1 cms, condition: good.

This item was part of a lot from the Royal train which transported him around southern Africa.

HRH The Prince of Wales became Edward VIII ( 1894 1972), later known as the Duke of Windsor and was King of the United Kingdom and the Dominions of the British Empire and Emperor of India from 20 January 1936 until his abdication in December of the same year.
