End Conscription Campaign “Guernica” Poster c.1986 (South Africa)

Offset Litho in black, white and red. Produced by the ECC (End Conscription Campaign) in Johannesburg. This anti-apartheid poster uses Picasso’s painting as a symbol of oppression. Like the Spanish Civil War, this graphic highlights the horrors of war. The ECC logo was designed by ZAPIRO, the satirical cartoonist.
