The Clarendon Press is an historical name for Oxford University Press (OUP), particularly referring to the period when OUP was housed in the Clarendon Building on Broad Street in Oxford, starting in 1713. The name is derived from the Earl of Clarendon, who donated the royalties from his book to fund the building's construction.
