By the Rev E. Casalis, who was Director of the Paris Evangelical Mission House, accounts his journey to Lesotho after his arrival in South Africa in 1833. They are welcomed by Chief of Basotho, Moshoeshoe, who is described as "an agreeable and interesting countenance."
Casalis was accompanied by Messrs. Arbousset and Goselin, who formed a French Protestant Mission first in Morija, then in Thaba Bosiu. The volume is divided into two parts: I Journeys of Explorations - Labour's; II Manners and Customs of the Basutos.
