’Cap de Bonne-Esperance’ (The Cape of Good Hope- South Africa). This plate shows a view of Table Bay, Cape Twon, Table Mountain, The Dutch VOC fortress and ships. This famous engraving was published by many authors. Some noteworthy cartographers who incorporated this image in their books include Blaeu, Visscher, de Wit, Meurs, Halma, Olfert, John Ogilvy and Allard.
