More 'Alice', a work written and illustrated by Yates Wilson in the style or spirit of Lewis Carroll, continuing themes or characters from his famous Alice in Wonderland books.
The work was begun following a request from the author's daughter who, when ill and having listened to the two famous Alice stories, asked for more Alice.
In this story, Alice, who has not quite recovered from an illness, becomes rather light-headed and in a half-dream makes a fantastic tour of her own bedroom.
Although the scene is cast in the period of the original Alice stories (1862), a few comments on modern life are introduced and there is come intentional satire on certain aspects of the modern world. King Ethelred is any dictator, his castle is the iron curtain, and the 'school of unlearning' is a gentle satire on the practice of 'brain-washing'.
Of More Alice it has been said "It is genuine Alice. It has the same line of convoluted thought and curiously satisfactory lunacy...it is delightful, and the illustrations are enchanting."(https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3052594-more-alice)
