Lieutenant-Colonel Percival George Elgood (1863-1941), was a British Army officer, writer, and administrator, known for his extensive service in Egypt, including high posts in the Egyptian government and military during World War I, earning him the Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George (C.M.G.) and numerous other honors. He authored several books on Egyptian history and military affairs, living in Egypt for much of his life.
